Welcome to the website for the University of Kansas Intern-Option MPA Class of 2014. We are excited to join the excellent KU tradition of great public servants. The KU Masters of Public Administration program is unique in that we began our coursework for the program in June 2012 and we will end our coursework in May 2013. During the first year, we also have part-time internships in local government. In our second year, we will be working in full-time internships or jobs throughout the country. We will graduate with our Masters in Public Administration following our full-time internship in May 2014.
Our class consists of eleven students from across the country including Kansas, California, Washington, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, and Utah. Furthermore, we all have diverse backgrounds, from undergraduate degrees in sociology, history, and public administration to political science, economics, journalism, and finance. Among the members of our class we have a former elected official, AmeriCorps volunteers, and several with previous work experience in city government.
Feel free to view our individual biographies or our class biography if you’d like to learn more about us including activities we are involved in and our work experiences. Furthermore, please do not hesitate to contact any of us with questions regarding the program, our backgrounds, our professional careers, our experiences at KU, or with any other questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from prospective students, alumni, prospective employers, and community leaders.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
